De Graaf Bakeries and Iceworx join forces

De Graaf Bakeries is a leading producer of sweet and savoury snacks, which are sold worldwide to major retailers. From frikandel rolls to apple pies, De Graaf Bakeries supplies a wide range of products that find their way to shelves in the Netherlands, France, Spain and Germany, among others. “We operate worldwide,” says Alinde Hartog, Office Manager at De Graaf Bakeries. As Office Manager, she has various responsibilities, including sales support. As a result, she regularly comes into contact with the shipping of samples, which requires frozen transport. Alinde: “That is where the collaboration with Iceworx comes in.”

Where it started

About a year and a half ago, Alinde connected with Iceworx. "We were looking for a dry ice supplier so we could safely ship our products to customers," she explains. The company found Iceworx through an online search. Initially, De Graaf Bakeries managed their own shipments through external parcel services, with only the dry ice delivered by Iceworx. The partnership quickly grew, and Iceworx took over the coordination of the shipments. "We've also recently been able to use iceworx.app, Iceworx's new shipping platform, which makes shipping our samples much easier," says Alinde.

Everything within one portal

Today, Graaf Bakeries sends approximately 30 sample shipments per month via the Iceworx platform. “The system is very easy to use,” says Alinde. “We only have to enter our data and Iceworx takes care of the rest. For example, the platform automatically calculates the correct amount of dry ice. From the dry ice to the shipment, everything is now arranged via the portal.” Despite this automation, personal contact remains. “The lines are short and Cor from Iceworx is always easy to reach. If we unexpectedly encounter problems, we can switch quickly.”

When asked how she would describe the collaboration with Iceworx in one word, Alinde answers without hesitation: "Excellent! The platform is very user-friendly, Cor and his team are always ready to help, and they're easily accessible. Excellent service indeed!"
